All over, but trying to avoid too much of a commute. There's a place in West Seattle, I'm hoping ot look at Wednesday evening, along with several others. I've already been bounced on three places by folks ready to pay over listing price...

I may have found a set of original stock carbs! If the guys the seller was in touch with don't come through, I'll pick 'em up Saturday.
By the way, what color scheme is it? Blue or red? Just curious... ;D

It's the blue on white scheme. Red is way to fast for old guys like me.

Perfect! I always liked the blue better, anyway. Any chance of taking a look at the pile o' parts sometime soon?

Any time you like! Kids are here all weekend, too. Come out for dinner?

I drooled over those first GSXRs in 1986, and have wanted one all these years. To have this particular one is even better. Now I just have to get a damned garage (and a house to go with it). Put in an offer today, and we'll see what happens.

I'll see how things go with the home offer (switching out to a better place just listed, closer in, and only a tad more), and, if it goes my way, I'll try to swing by this week, or over the weekend (prior notice given, of course!). I'm gettin' excited, though it's a daunting project for a mechanical moron like me.

Motors are easy. Time and tools, and a basic understanding of physics is really all that it takes to make motors workable.

Oh yeah. I also have the factory shop manual for it, so you can eliminate all the guess work.

Excellent! Though, you must realize I was an English Lit major for good reason (I burned my Calculus book after classes ended in high school)... ;D
I figure with the shop manual, a Haynes/Clymer manual, and plenty of time and patience, I should be able to get the old girl back on the road. I'm sure there will be some tool investments needed, but when is more tools ever a bad thing?

How about Friday? I'm going to be smoking meat all day, so there will be beer and food!
