The show differs wildly from the comic.
I will say, this far in, the comic was much better.

I'm glad I haven't read the comic, I'm enjoying the show immensely.

The tragedy level in the comic is much higher. Probably why they couldn't put it on TV.

I still can't believe its only six episodes.
And frankly, they shoulda went to Fort Bliss, rather than the CDC. And how come they're tooling around in a ratty assed RV, and not Abrams tanks, which seem to be the hooptie of choice for the zombie generation.

What's the MPG on an Abrams?

And what fuel do they run on?

Those Abrams engines can run on pretty much anything that explodes. Gas, diesel, even aviation fuel.
And I don't understand why they can't manage to pump all the fuel from what is in the ground right now.
Personally, I look at the zombie apocalypse as an opportunity.

If there's no electric power, there is no pumping the gas from the underground tanks. Unless, of course, you happen to have a loooong hose and a handcrank siphon pump handy.

I would imagine that a hand pump would be available at the local hardware store. www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/category_fuel-transfer-lubrication+barrel-hand-pumpsWe aren't talking complex engineering here. And squashing zombies under tank treads has got to be more fun that tooling about in that ugly assed RV.

actually, the horse proved a better distraction. Zombies can't eat an abrams.
As far as the Axe goes, he would never be able to pull that thing out of the zombies head on a backswing.
Also, smaller part of the axe.
