This is the first time in HISTORY that a Cabinet nomination has been filibustered. Why do people keep supporting the GOP? It's clear they only have the interest in you if you fit into "their" America.

It's beyond the pale... I simply can't understand thier absolute refusal to do anything that might actually help the whole country, including their butt buddies with all the $$$. They do seem to genuinely believe their economic and ideological bullshit, in spite of clear and continuing proof that it's just that.

I haven't kept up on it since I'm pretty completely burned out on politics, but I suspect it has to do with Hagel supposedly not being completely in bed with the Israelis. We know how the Christer wing of the GOP loves Israel....

No shit. When was the last time that happened? Oh, wait... It never has! These guys would fuck over their own mothers, if they thought they could get some sort of politcal advantage or revenge out of it.
