I know. I watched Florida - FSU last weekend and Tebow was freakishly good.

It will be interesting to see what the NFL does with him.

It will be interesting to see what the NFL does with him. I think GM's watch him and have to be scared to death of investing $20-30 million in guaranteed money and seeing Ray Lewis or Demarcus Ware just destroy him the first time he tries to play physical football like he does in college. From the very little that I've seen him Tebow has a great arm, great improvisation and has been tough as nails - but he can't move quickly and he's picked up a lot of habits that will get you killed in the NFL. I don't know. The pro QB I kept thinking of when I watched him last weekend was Brett Farve, because of his toughness and ability to improvise, and Farve has done okay in the NFL. It's probably going to come down to what kind of line he plays behind. If he manages to fall into a team with a decent line already in place (Rams anyone?) he could do well, but if defenses can get to him he's going to be in trouble because I don't think he can even contemplate the speed of the NFL.

He's not playing QB in the NFL.

That's what I've been thinking, JJ. And Brian, you're right about his habits being killers in the NFL. Getting hit by a linebacker or end in the NFL is a whole lot different than college.

If anything he'll end up playing tight end.

What are his 40 times like? Could he play safety?

If anything he'll end up playing tight end. I was thinking he'd be a fullback.

Why would he not be drafted as a QB?

My main problem with Tebow is that he's a member of the god squad. I lived in StL and got absolutely sick of Kurt and Mr Warner's religious outreaches.
He's going to be another Rex Grossman in the NFL. He's had shoulder surgery, multiple concussions. He'll be drafted in the low rounds.
As far as comparing him to Favre (whom, as a Bear fan, I loathe) he's nowhere near as durable.

Why would he not be drafted as a QB? 1. Arm strength or lack thereof 2. Accuracy isn't his strong suit 3. Doesn't make "great" decisions when forced to throw from the pocket or if you take away his 1st read

The key to being a successful NFL QB is being able to unload the ball quickly. You look at a guy like Dan Marino, who was slow as a bus full of fat people, but had a lightning fast release, and you can see the prototype for that kind of player. If old boy likes to hang onto the ball, he's gonna be a deader within four years.
