Now, I will preempt this with the information that I am a Bears fan. I do not like the Vikings, nor do I hold any love for , but..................
There were some pretty bullshit calls that you don't make in an overtime of an NFC Championship game.
I know the Vikings couldn't hold onto the ball, and that's why they lost, but to make calls that can decided a game in a tight situation that are questionable (Sorry Saints fans, There was no PI on that play with and Thomas did NOT make that first down, he fumbled ) is pretty piss poor.
It really took away from the enjoyment of the game.

Favre throwing an interception when they were in field goal range with seconds on the clock took away my enjoyment of the game. As soon as that play was over I knew without a doubt the Saints would win.
That said, I'm happy for New Orleans. They haven't been to the show before.

What's Rule #1? Never leave the game in the hands of the refs.
I think the refs called the game too tight on both sides. Favre was clearly falling backwards when the Saints got hit with the huge penalty for driving the QB to the ground.
But the refs were no worse than the Vikings, who played horribly; and the Saints, who allowed a team that gave up the ball five times to take the game into overtime. The NFC wasn't strong this year (or last year, or the year before, or the one before that...) but are these the best two teams in the conference? No one could play better than this???

If Peterson/Berrian/Rice could hold on to the ball, that would have helped. I just hate that a VERY CLOSE PI call puts a team in field goal range in the OT of an NFC championship game. That really grinds my gears! ;D

That being said, it sure is fun giving the Packer fans shit because they are happy that Favre failed. I am all to happy too point out that he had a better year than Rodgers ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I actually stayed up to finish watching - neither team played well, Indy will pick NO apart if they don't clean up their act.

I thought the Jets could take them, until the third quarter began. Its like the Jets just fell asleep.

Manning was pointing out every blitz. He really is amazing sometimes.

The Refs didn't lose that game. A huge number of turnovers lost that game. The fact that the Vikes were in it even after playing like shit indicates they're probably the better team. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Not that the Ain'ts are a bunch of slouches or anything. I'm looking forward to a SuperBowl where either team is capable of winning. I'm picking the Colts by 7.

If New Orleans comes out fast and focused, they could take it, but they need to demoralize Manning, which only seems to happen when he gets planted many times. If NO plays like they did last night, they're done.

I think the Colts are going to crush them. If Manning could shut down the defense of the Ravens and Jets (#3 and #1 defense in 2009), I don't think they'll need a full half to put the #20 Saints D on their heels.
The Colts defense is overall stronger than the Saints, but the Colts haven't been great at stopping the run. If Reggie Bush has a great game the Saints might stay in it for a while, but I don't think he or Brees is going to be on the field long enough to keep it close.

Colts will crush probably but there's a good chance for a high scoring shoot out, so that could be fun to watch. I'm just happy that sorry excuse for a coach, Brad Childress, lost. That fucker is the worst coach I've ever seen, and no team of his deserves a title. Also, that was a Classic Farve Interception©, breaking the record for most INTs in the playoffs at 30. At least he leads the league in smiles ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)
