One of those would be a lot of fun, but I still want an RS250 two-smoke for track duty. I still occasionally kick myself for not buying one a few years ago that had a 318 kit in it. That thing was wicked fast and licensed for the street.

I know. I've been so out of the loop I didn't even know they were still making theh 125. It was just brought over this year. In its stock form it's pretty anemic but a tweak here, a twist there and good smoky fun can be had. I saw one on the street at the local meetup this summer and at idle its nothing to write home about but at full tilt you have glimpses at what can be had on the track.

A tweaked 2-smoke has a powerband about as wide as your little toe. It makes for great good fun, in a fear and loathing kind of way. The good thing about a 125 is you don't go as far over the handlebars when the engine seizes.

Some guy has an RS125 that parks it by the UCB theatre. It's funny watching him "Flinstone" it to get the thing off the line.
