So, I get up all excited as this was my first trip to the Rock Store. I fire up the bike and rider off.
When I pull in (after getting lost), the battery light on my dash goes off. I try to restart the bike and.............dead.
I had just replaced the battery 2 weeks ago. So, I ask the guy up front and they actually have a jump starter there! I hook it up and ...........nothing.
I call a tow truck (mind you a friend, Amber, was there with me and being so cool about my dead bike. We were supposed to go riding) and when the tow truck gets there.................it starts.
And then, when we get back to my apartment, my car tire was flat.
To add insult to injury, a gaggle of midgets ran out from behind a dumpster and beat the shit out of me from my thighs down.
Not a good day.

Try screwing the battery terminals in tighter. This happened to me once, and I thought it was bs when somebody suggested maybe the battery terminals were not tightened enough. But, I checked, and sure enough, loose terminals. They have to be good and tight or you get the kind of random behavior you suffered. A screw driver won't help with the tire. It might have helped with the gang of midgets, assuming it was a long screwdriver and you could wield it about a foot off the ground.
