They are finally beginning to disrupt The Very Serious Narrative as economists. About time. By the way, I have seen Paul Krugman refer to vacuous talking heads as Very Serious People for the past few months. I wonder if he would like to join the Very Serious Organization. He might be a little too smart to fit in, though.

I still think this is just symptomatic of global capitalism moving from a few hundred million consumers with X disposable income to a few billion with X/5. Developing economies are where all the attention is directed these days. The developed world is just in the 'final harvest' mode.
