It amazes me that the party of "personal responsibility" is a bunch of sore losers. I mean, they have pointed the finger at everybody but themselves on this one. There has even been some revisionist history in the process.
I've heard them blaming the following:
1. People want "stuff" and they know Obama will give them "stuff" so that's why he won. (WTF???)
2. Obama played dirty and he defined Romney without allowing Romney to define himself. (Yeah okay chief.)
3. They blamed the "changing demographic" of the electorate. AKA not enough white people voting. (Funny, the "white vote" made up 72%)
My hope is that we can finally get past the gridlock in the House and get this country moving in the right direction. However, what I'm hearing I'm not very optimistic. I mean, when Mitch McConnell puts out a statement saying "Their (GOP) victory in the House is proof the American people want them to keep up the fight..."
It could get bumpy.

I'm wondering why no one has made anything of the fact that these asshats have signed a personal pledge to Grover Norquist, a private non-government individual, which directly limits their ability to perform as public servants. Doesn't that violate the Oath of Office they took? If they have directly violated that oath in writing, isn't that actionable?
They're a bunch of utter sociopaths, and the only way to get things working again is to remove them from office.
It will, indeed, be a bumpy ride. We'll see if Obama and the Dems show some freakin' spine this time around.

I honestly think Boehner will be the one to restore reason to the GOP and broker a deal before Armageddon hits. The guy is a douche, but he's an honest douche, and I have to think the entitled ankle biters under him have gotten a bit too annoying.

3. They blamed the "changing demographic" of the electorate. AKA not enough white people voting. (Funny, the "white vote" made up 72%) This one is plain bald truth. In 1980 that white percentage was almost 90%. The decreased demographic percentage of whites is the *only* reason Romney lost. Since 1972, democrats have _never_ won a majority of the white vote in any presidential election.

Wouldn't you want a platform that crosses socioeconomic lines? The country is becoming more and more diverse, so should your policies and politics.

Remember, the GOP is in the hands of sociopaths. They care not for anyone but themselves, and anyone they see as lesser doesn't matter. Of course, it actually DOES matter, and they are reaping that harvest. Doesn't mean they'll understand it.

Just for myself, it gives me the perfect response to the "ALL TEH BLACK PEOPLE VOTED FOR OBAMA SO RACIZM!!!!!!" retards. And that makes me happy.

Listening to NPR (that commie "news" organ) this morning, and was struck by just how tone deaf Republicans truly are. Everyone they interviewed went on about how they needed to "re-brand", or how their message was misinterpreted, or they needed to keep the Democrats from defining them and their platform. They all thought the platform was just fine. They seem utterly incapable of understanding that they might just be wrong.
The GOP - Party of Sociopaths...

Well, if you're right about everything and perfect, how could any of it possibly be your fault? Right?
