Have you guys read about this? Bike sales have been so slow, that one of the big 3 is not going to bring their 2010 line to the United States.
Granted, no major changes to many models, but it is telling. Powersports used to be considered recession proof. Apparently not any more.

So what aren't they bringing?
I'm helping as much as possible, but I bought a Kawasaki, not a Suzuki.

Almost the entire line. Look at their website to see the 2010 models being brought in. I think I counted 4.
No 2010 sportbikes at all, I think.

I hate squids, but they are fun bikes. I used to race them and have a soft spot for them.

SV for me, that was the only Suzuki I've had. Pretty fun bike, should of kept it.

I hated the Gixxer I raced. It hated me. We tried to kill each other several times without apperent success, because the bike is still out there alive and so am I.
An SV is more my speed, being old and slow and all.

It was a 2004, and it had been highsided once before I got it. It may have been a bit tweaked, since it didn't want to turn until I pretty much set it on its nose lowering the front. Then it was fine turning right but it was very, very nervous turning left. It was like riding a bowl of oatmeal, even after rebuilding the forks and the Penske triple clicker it came with. It was set up correctly, but I had ergonomic problems with it all along and nothing ever quite worked the way it should. I traded it for Mad Max and some cash. Mad Max has been an ongoing mechanical challenge, but at least it's fun to ride and play with. The Gix just sucked. That one. I suspect it was a special case and had Karma problems.

Methinks it had skeletal issues, mang. The turning problem is the indicator. Either the frame or the swingarm was definitely bent. In any case, it was one truly shite racebike...

Yeah, I think you had some bendage going on. 1996-on GSXRs (save the 06-07 1K) never steered like trucks. As far as setting it up goes, they are so adjustable that they can get you into trouble. I raced 93-98 GSXRs and I loved them. The 93-95 were tanks and slow, but the 96 was a revelation. I can remember the first time I caned it was at Road America. I was using a team hammer school as practice for the CCS weekend and I was behind a guy on a ZX11 coming out of the pits. I whacked the throttle on it and it stood up straight. The 95 I just came from would have NEVER done that. That bike was a demon.

Yeah, this one really didn't like to turn at all until the geometry was incredibly radical. I had the rear hiked up as far as the shock would allow and the nose down by a whole lot. I don't remember the exact measurement, but it was to the point Vortex clipons were beginning to have clearance problems at both ends of the steering arc. It was nuts. It is a street bike now, and I'm sure it's fine for street riding. It sure was a workout and a handful on the track. It was such an adventure in not knowing what it was going to do I almost thought about taking up knitting. Knitting has needles and is probably even more dangerous than motorcycles, so the change never happened.

Suzuki is not importing the bikes because the dealers are flooded with bikes and no customers and no money to finance the bikes. You will see the 2011 gixxers in July?
