online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704402404574527513453636326.htmlThis is why the SC erred, and why private development should never be a factor in eminent domain decisions. FTA Now, four years after that decision gave Susette Kelo's land to private developers for a project including a hotel and offices intended to enhance Pfizer Inc.'s nearby corporate facility, the pharmaceutical giant has announced it will close its research and development headquarters in New London, Connecticut. Way to go, guys!

So much for the "increased tax base" argument... That SCOTUS decision is almost as bad as the one giving corporations the same (actually more) rights as flesh and blood humans.

Great. You think there is enough power (to the people) to remove corporations from government? Or is it too late?

Great. You think there is enough power (to the people) to remove corporations from government? Or is it too late? Too late. To quote one of my favorite authors, Neal Stephenson, in his dead on satire of American future "Snow Crash." "There's only four things we do better than anyone else: music movies microcode (software) high-speed pizza delivery" We are well and truly fucked.

This is why the SC erred, and why private development should never be a factor in eminent domain decisions.! Well, one of the reasons, anyway.
