My point, don't discount revolvers. If you need that many shots to take a body down, get to the range, cuz you're a shitty shot. I consider myself to be pretty damn good marksmen, but in the heat of battle to which I’ve never been in, I bet you could use a few extra rounds due to shaking hands.

In the "heat of battle" that you imagine yourself in, perhaps, Rambo.
In reality world, you're going to get off enough rounds to run your ass away as fast as you can, and that makes reliability a much more important factor. If your DA wheel gun misfires, you just pull the trigger again. If your 27 round Glock pecker extension mis fires, good luck getting it sorted while you're trying to avoid getting shot.
Hi cap mags are pure penis extensions.

I'm not a high cap mag fan, but stick with what the mfg. supplies with my G19, and they are about 15 round capacity. Now my Colt 1911 series 70 jammed, but it needed a new ejector arm if that is the technical term for that particular part. Something the Glock does not have or will not wear out. Rambo over and out. ;D

I'm sure a dead cowboy or two would disagree.

I'm sure a dead cowboy or two would disagree. Drawing slow is not the gun's fault. If the round doesn't fire, you just pull the trigger again. That's the beauty of a wheel gun.

These failures happened because the rim or primer hung on the breech, preventing exactly the solution you propose. The other problem was powder fouling. The first, of course is due to cartridge tolerances but I believe it still happens even today. The second, of course is largely a maintenance issue. I'm certainly no expert however.

I bet the cop who shot that guy in Seattle did it with a pistol and not a revolver. Most cops now have pistols vs. revolvers. So I guess they are not to worried about jamming.

Your dog bite you or something? You've really been a sourpuss lately. No, but the walk that use to tire the guy out isn't doing it anymore, and more like a 7 mile plus walk is needed, I'm tired is all.

I don't have a dog. I do have raccoons, though, and it pisses me off. When you are cranky, I always assume your daughter just made a brilliant decision like turning down a full ride scholarship to be a rock star or something. Raccoons are pretty great, as long as you can keep them out of the garbage.
