At this point? Definitely. Well, Kenny got his confederacy of dunces. What I want to know is how that turd got to be a moderator and how much leeway does he have? I mean, is being a mod simply like being a fucking king or something? Does he answer to anyone? He single handedly ruined P & R, as far as I'm concerned. The place suddenly became toxic for me. I posted a couple of times this morning, but I do it because (1) I need to do something while I drink my coffee and (2) I wait for the traffic to build here, which I'm sure it will. I'll tell you something else to: I used to think AC was pretty cool. Not no mo' ! So explain to me what was so bad? I didn't really notice that much of a change.

Okay so none of you are posting at SBN anymore? The only reason I was checking there was because I thought maybe a few of the people I enjoy reading were still there. So that's not the case?

You know, Arn, I honestly don't know. I thought I was the guy who started this whole controversy, but now I'm seeing that many are blaming Central Scrutinizer and others.
It came down to a couple of us complaining to the mods. Then Jerome got all huffy, and the game was on. That's the way it looks to me. But someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Funny thing is, Jerome turned out to be right about the righties taking the place over. Ken sucks - transparently as hell. He has an agenda - and power. The worst possible combo.
I don't want to hang out there anymore, if I can avoid it.

I think gradually the traffic is increasing here. All the good guys who are fun to read are pretty much here now. I miss Central, but that's just me. I think he's clever as hell in his writing.

[/quote] Central does bring something to the table he can just abrasive; and that can rub people the wrong way. Hell, abrasive might be an udnerstatement.

I missed what happened probably because i have had scrut on ignore for months. IMO, he's just dakota in a blue hat. In the thread where it wasn't just a long list of "you are ignoring this person" posts i didn't see much but normal back-n-forth, so i was sort of taken by surprise by all the fuss... I still say it is too bad people can't just use their ignore button and "moderate" to their own standards.

He gave me grief once in awhile, but it was usually about something semi-valid. I don't know if the background story is right (him and the PM stuff), but hey, that's what a truly open community needs to be - all can post, and comment, or not comment, as one desires. If you don't like his style, just ignore him (by not reading, not the ignore function).

Tammy's great, don't let this little brouhaha affect how you think of her. She did her best behind the scenes to keep it cool over there but in the end was able to. Keep in mind where it started: People complaining to mods from a forum where complaints weren't really supposed to be paid any attention, and Dakota making a mess of things.
It doesn't matter, this site serves the purpose of discussing politics (and motorcycling too) with other motorcyclists without an idiot in charge. I'm glad John decided to make the effort to take this on. EDIT: And I'm done posting on SBN. I said what I wanted to, and it is what it is over there.

Well, Jim is entirely correct in his assessment of the "moderator" personality. They are, fundamentally, a bunch of busybodies.

Why did Jamessadie (Dave b) delete his account? Don't know. I would imagine for the same reason I deleted mine at ST.N. I didn't want to be there any more.

Why did Jamessadie (Dave b) delete his account? Over at SBN? Due to the mod conflicts from what I know.

Why did Jamessadie (Dave b) delete his account? Hope he comes back in, maybe he's just changing his username?
