Res ipsa loquitur In your head, me saying we shouldn't bitch people off the board is denying that some may be doing it. Why do you think I posted that we don't need it? First off because you yourself are trying to deny you're doing it; secondly because just maybe Dave would still be here if you'd offered your opinion a little earlier - like when BHD tried to bitch him off the board. First off, me calling you an idiot in no way effects whether or not you are here. That's you. Secondly, you also may find this hard to believe, but I don't read every post on the site and I also have a job that requires me to work. This too hinders my ability to read every post on the site. For the record, I don't agree with BHD's post, but he's a big boy and he can work things out himself. I stated my opinion and that's that. BTW, I am still looking for my denial post. Vox populi, vox Dei

jump off (n) - 1. a casual sexual partner; 2. someone you have sex with on occassion but have no ties to and have no emotional ties with (usually, one or both are married).
"You thought you were special but you were really just his jump off..." - Common

Yet you haven't denied seeing BHD's post to Dave bitching him off the board. And since you posted immediately afterwards I'm comfortable stating that you did.

Going to a new place really reveals who's coming for conversation and who just shows up because they have some sort of mental disorder that requires stirring shit. I'd hoped that these people would stay in their prior therapeutic community, but it seems they just follow along like stray camp dogs looking for someone to bite.

actually, if you have a sense of self esteem, it is not a non sequiter at all. I have been called many names on the forums and it doesn't effect me.
And as far as me seeing it, sorry you are wrong. I looked at the post I made and it was referencing the carping about elitism on SBN.

...like when BHD tried to bitch him off the board. I wasn't trying to "bitch him off the board", whatever that means. I didn't like that one of his very first posts here is to accuse John of creating a liberal circle jerk and pissing that this place sucks and it's wrong for us to be here. A lot of us have been friends across three boards and several years. To have a place started by one of us, for us, and take a shit in the middle of the room because you don't like the political balance, I thought that was uncalled for. So I told him to shut the fuck up. In the several years I've been involved in PO/P&R and now this place, telling someone to STFU typically carries as much weight as "pass the salt". Dave took exception to it, however. He wrote me a PM, asking "WTF is your problem? You have something to say, just say it." I replied with a PM that I did say it - four words, four syllables...and I added what I'd later post out in the forum: If you think this is just a liberal circle jerk, then I think you should go back to SBN where the staff is willing to tilt the rules to change the balance. After the last few weeks I'm not in the mood for drama queens or people who just want to stir shit. Or both.

I like it there. Plenty of people around to give diverse opinions. Then along comes Kman and tosses Scissors out for a comment HE (Kman) totally misinterpreted. If still in over there but I'm hoping this place will build enough traffic to keep me occupied.
I tell you, he's bad for your board. FWIW.

He's not bad for their board at all. It was mostly conservative before we arrived, and now it's going back to being mostly conservative. What I'm getting a huge kick out of is the complaints about 'gang mentalities'. Irony. This whole thing has also reinforced my belief that right wingers can dish it but they can't take it. They're just like their elected leaders, railing against homosexuality and the decline of family values while fucking members of the same sex in public restrooms, buying hookers, and cheating on their wives.

I tell you, he's bad for your board. FWIW. Well, in the first place, it's not my board. It would have been handled quietly if so much fuss hadn't been kicked up when we asked people to stop acting like schoolyard bullies. If things didn't get resolved as quickly as you would have liked, I am sorry but I had no control over that. I think I mentioned it's not my board? It wasn't our decision to make, we could only participate in discussions and recommend solutions. What you perceive as us handing it badly was our attempt at preventing the entire subforum from being deleted. We were successful at that, not that anyone cares. Now I feel the others may have been right, perhaps it would have been better and less dramatic to just let it go. In any case, I do not hold a grudge against any of you for what happened. It would be really nice if everyone else could be adult enough to give me the same courtesy.

No one's answered my question about how mods get to be mods. Do they have to do nasty things to be appointed a mod? Is it a money thing? I mean, that Ken guy is anything BUT a "moderator." There isn't a moderate bone in his body.
