I'll tell you, Tam, I am really kind of hacked off at the way the whole thing was carried off. The whole moderator thing is festering like a bloody sore over there. As I said from the beginning of this whole fol-de-rol, it should have been handled quietly and without fanfare. Then you and Ken started in on this whole "we need to be 'civil' stuff" without even laying out specific ground rules, or defining what "civil" is or isn't. It became obvious that even you guys didn't know what you wanted. I like it there. Plenty of people around to give diverse opinions. Then along comes Kman and tosses Scissors out for a comment HE (Kman) totally misinterpreted. If still in over there but I'm hoping this place will build enough traffic to keep me occupied. I tell you, he's bad for your board. FWIW. Well, in the first place, it's not my board. It would have been handled quietly if so much fuss hadn't been kicked up when we asked people to stop acting like schoolyard bullies. If things didn't get resolved as quickly as you would have liked, I am sorry but I had no control over that. I think I mentioned it's not my board? It wasn't our decision to make, we could only participate in discussions and recommend solutions. What you perceive as us handing it badly was our attempt at preventing the entire subforum from being deleted. We were successful at that, not that anyone cares. Now I feel the others may have been right, perhaps it would have been better and less dramatic to just let it go. In any case, I do not hold a grudge against any of you for what happened. It would be really nice if everyone else could be adult enough to give me the same courtesy. It's what you get for postin' in the No Bitches Allowed thread.

He's not bad for their board at all. It was mostly conservative before we arrived, and now it's going back to being mostly conservative. What I'm getting a huge kick out of is the complaints about 'gang mentalities'. Irony. This whole thing has also reinforced my belief that right wingers can dish it but they can't take it. They're just like their elected leaders, railing against homosexuality and the decline of family values while fucking members of the same sex in public restrooms, buying hookers, and cheating on their wives. No one's answered my question about how mods get to be mods. Do they have to do nasty things to be appointed a mod? Is it a money thing? I mean, that Ken guy is anything BUT a "moderator." There isn't a moderate bone in his body. I'm more interested in what all is involved in being a mod, and how much time and emotional energy is invested in it. From the amount of drama posted in this latest throw-down, I'm convinced that to be a Mod is akin to serving a tour in the jungles of 'Nam.

We were all "acting like schoolyard bullies" and "everyone else could be adult enough" etc. because if your a moderator then you're an adult and get to talk down to the rest of us. I could give a fuck what the situation was. You actually told us what the situation was and then still proceded to talk down all of us. I hope you're adult enough to STFU about it now

From the amount of drama posted in this latest throw-down, I'm convinced that to be a Mod is akin to serving a tour in the jungles of 'Nam. The way it was running prior to Dakota's flame out and the start of people reporting posts was just fine. Had I been the mod I'd have told the whiners to read the original forum rules and shut the fuck up and use the ignore function, or not visit P&R at all. Deek would have been banned immediately and without fanfare after he wished death on another rider, and that would have been that. The whole situation could have been avoided had it been handled differently. I know Tammy was trying to do the right thing, I cannot extend the same understanding to Kenny at this point. He waded in like some sort of milquetoast John Wayne and royally screwed the pooch. I don't think he's smart enough to have actually done it on purpose, but I think getting rid of people whose politics were different and who were better informed and more intelligent than he is certainly isn't bothering him.

If it matters I like AC and felt she was dealt a bad hand. +1 Essentiallly she had the opinions of a bunch of sub-turds ("I like to be sodomized with strap-ons by women calling me names"mod guy(not Kman) and other lower life forms) to deal with.

I am responding to things said about me, and I'm not shutting the fuck up about it as long as things are directed at me. If you don't want to talk about it, then feel free to begin.

Going to a new place really reveals who's coming for conversation and who just shows up because they have some sort of mental disorder that requires stirring shit. Unless you've some other explanation, your belief the shit stirring began only when *I* showed up is a solid indicator you've got some sort of mental disorder yourself.

After the last few weeks I'm not in the mood for drama queens or people who just want to stir shit. Or both. Well, you've certainly come to the right place then. </sarcasm>

actually, if you have a sense of self esteem, it is not a non sequiter at all. I have been called many names on the forums and it doesn't effect me. Actually, those with a sense of self esteem don't need to call people names at all in order to make a point. And as far as me seeing it, sorry you are wrong. I looked at the post I made and it was referencing the carping about elitism on SBN. I simply don't believe you.

Well, I like AC and had/have no problem with her. The problem with typing instead of talking is the loss of emotional cues and the ease of personal impressions on what others are trying to communicate.
Or shit.
